Integration

In 1935, Neuroscientists discovered “the critical period” which is “the a window of time where the brain is especially sensitive to something in the environment that the brain would like to learn about and conform long lasting memories to that stimulus” (Paulson, 2023).  By the time you reach young adulthood, your critical period closes (Paulson, 2023).  Evidence in a June, 2023 study demonstrates that the shared property among all psychedelics is the “critical period” re-opening (Nardou, 2023).

This is why the integration period following a psychedelic session is crucial because this is where the transformation occurs (Paulson, 2023).  The integration period has the potential to solidify the changes that occurred during a psychedelic session (Paulson, 2023).

  • Integration is a process that assesses the [psychedelic] experience, clarifies the content, and assimilates the experience and insights into lasting lifestyle changes.

  • The integration session provides support, guidance, understanding, and processing of information that comes up from an experience.

  • An integration session can be scheduled before a planned experience to help prepare and/or after an experience to integrate and assimilate what arose during a psychedelic medicine experience.

  • 50 minute phone or video conference sessions, $150 per integration/preparation session.  Complete the form to initiate a session.
